Informed Choice

Call to Change: Make an Informed Choice with Tobacco

To make any change happen, all people need information, information that helps to make informed choices about what to do and what not to do.

Many people in Indiana of all ages choose to smoke tobacco, a choice that has a serious effect on the health of individuals and on the health of the people with whom they live and work.

We issue our Call to Change to people of all ages, but especially teens and parents, to change the choice to smoke tobacco to be tobacco free with our bottom line well in sight: All Kids Deserve and Need Clean Air to Breathe.

Informed Choice is a presentation with notes that can be used by teachers and youth leaders to speak to classrooms, after school programs, youth groups, and parent groups about the consequences of choosing to smoke tobacco. Our goal is to create tools and resources such as this to help young people and parents to think now and change now . . . to enjoy a future of good health. Please visit Alchohol and Other Drugs and www.clarian.org for other resources on tobacco use and supplement abuse prevention.

If you download and use this presentation, please give us feedback to help us continue to monitor the effectiveness of our tools and resources. Let us know your audience, numbers of people in your audience, and usefulness of this presentation in meeting your needs by emailing kids1st@iupui.edu.

Join us in this Call to Change so that the change that does happen helps us all to achieve this goal: All Kids Deserve and Need Clean Air to Breathe.
