The Community Education and Child Advocacy Department at Riley Hospital for Children advocates for safe children, healthy children, and strong families. We feel it is important your child knows what to expect when visiting a healthcare setting. Hoppin' for Health is a curriculum designed to reduce the fears that young children have about healthcare settings by increasing their understanding of body parts, common medical instruments and procedures, and the roles of medical professionals. The curriculum includes educational resources, tools, and activities that are easily downloaded, copied, and adapted to a wide variety of instructional settings, to leave children more curious and prone to ask questions about their health check-ups. A "toolbox" of play medical equipment and other education materials is available for loan by calling Riley Hospital's Community Education and Child Advocacy Department. Activities
