International Programs Pediatric Pulmonology

Dr. Howard Eigen has a long standing relationship with the Capital Institute in Beijing, China. They have sent 8 trainees to Riley sponsored by the Section of Pediatric Pulmonology. These trainees have been senior people who have spent 6 months or more at Riley in the Sections of Pulmonology, Endocrinology and Pediatric Neurology. The relationship was recently expanded when The Capital Institute and Riley became "Sister Hospitals".

In addition, the Section has a 15 year history of training physicians from South America, specifically Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Columbia, and from the Far East. Dr. Eigen has been invited to speak on pulmonary topics in countries throughout the world.

Dr. Robert Tepper has on going relationships for research with colleagues in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and the United Kingdom. Dr Tepper is the co-editor of a text on lung function testing in infants with an international panel of editors and contributors.
